Recycled / Converter Tow

Geri Dönüştürülmüş Polyester TOW

We produce recycled continuous polyester tow for conversion into tops or cut staple fiber. We specify total tow density in ktex, individual filament fineness, color and mechanical profile for your converter and final product.

What You Are Buying

One tow. Two processing routes.

Polyester tow is a large bundle of continuous filaments. The overall size of that bundle is specified as total linear density in ktex; the fineness of each individual filament is specified separately in dpf. Two tows with the same filament fineness can therefore have very different total ktex and behave differently on a converter.

Tow can be stretch-broken or cut into aligned long-staple sliver for tops, or cut to a selected length for staple-fiber production. We specify crimp, finish, tenacity, elongation and package format for your converter and target fiber.

Three Buying Decisions

Specify ktex, conversion route and color together.

We define the tow by its complete bundle specification and the fiber you intend to produce from it.

01 / Total Tow Density

Think in ktex

120, 240 or 280 ktex can represent different converter requirements. The target ktex is selected with machine feed width, output and packaging in mind.

1 ktex = 1 g/m of tow; 280 ktex is assessed on request.
02 / Conversion Route

Tops or cut staple

Stretch-break or cut filaments into aligned long-staple sliver for tops, or use a suitable cutting line to produce staple fiber at the chosen cut length.

Specify the actual converter and target fiber length.
03 / Custom Color

Match your shade

Beyond raw white and black, customer-specific colors can be developed to an approved reference for different yarn, textile and nonwoven programs.

Shade feasibility, MOQ and lead time confirmed by grade.
Two different measures: ktex describes the mass per unit length of the whole tow bundle; dpf describes one filament. Cut length applies after conversion into staple fiber and is not a dimension of the supplied continuous tow.

What You Can Make

One input, two distinct fiber routes.

Your conversion method determines the prepared fiber and the downstream applications.

Route A / Polyester Tops

Stretch breaking or suitable cutting conversion creates aligned long-staple sliver for gilling, blending and worsted or semi-worsted spinning.

Route B / Staple Fiber

A suitable cutting line converts the continuous filaments to a selected staple length for spinning, nonwovens or other qualified applications.

Custom-Colored Yarns

Customer-matched colored tow can be converted into tops for blended, decorative, knitted or woven yarn programs.

Technical Fiber Programs

Fineness, mechanical behavior, shade and cut target can be tailored for downstream textile and nonwoven production trials.

Application confirmation: we qualify the selected tow on your converter and check the resulting fiber and final material against the agreed process targets.

Color & Control

Color development starts with your reference.

We develop solid colors, including black and customer-matched shades, against an approved reference. We specify shade consistency together with filament fineness, ktex, recycled feedstock and the intended converter.

Tow presentation, crimp and finish affect feeding and handling. Tenacity and elongation affect how the material behaves during cutting or stretch breaking. For a new color or process, we agree a representative sample, trial criteria and lot documentation before repeat supply.

Commercial planning: we confirm bale weight, strapping, shipment format, production minimum and lead time for the agreed tow grade.

Technical Starting Points

The parameters a tow buyer should send.

We use the parameters below to define your tow grade; our quotation and technical data sheet establish the final combination.

Material formRecycled solid polyester tow
Filament finenessIndicative 1.2–15 dpf, grade-dependent
Total tow density120–240 ktex references; 280 ktex on request
Conversion methodTops conversion or staple-fiber cutting
Mechanical profileTenacity / elongation / shrinkage targets
Appearance & finishCrimp / spin finish / custom color matching
PackingBale weight and strapping by program
DocumentationAgreed TDS, lot records and applicable evidence

120–240 ktex are reference grades; we assess 280 ktex and other requested sizes by production feasibility. Filament fineness, colors, tolerances, test methods and recycled-content documentation are confirmed for the quoted tow grade.

Quality & Traceability

Approve the grade before repeat supply.

We define testing and documentation for your converter, the agreed grade and each shipment.

01 / DEFINE

Specify the tow

Set dpf, ktex, crimp, color, finish, tenacity and elongation targets.

02 / TRIAL

Run your converter

Check feeding, cutting or stretch-breaking behavior and the resulting sliver.

03 / CONTROL

Track the lot

Agree lot identification, reported values, packing and inspection frequency.

04 / VERIFY

Confirm evidence

We confirm OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certificate scope for the grade. Where GRS is claimed, we verify certification and shipment documentation.

Start with Your Converter

Tell us the ktex and the fiber you need to make.

Send your required total ktex, filament dpf, conversion method, target cut length or top specification, color reference, monthly volume and destination. We will define and quote a tow grade matched to your converter and trial requirements.
